Husband file for child custody as child not happy with wife & in-laws

Me and my wife are not together from last 3 months. We have decided to go for divorse now. But few days back I came to know that my child is not comfortable with her mom ( my wife). My child wants to stay with me here in Mumbai but my in laws and my wife is not allowing my child to stay with Me? I have seen all this in front of my whole community. What to do to meet my child? What legal step should I take to know that why my child is not comfortable with my wife? My wife is not allowing me to talk to my child. What to do?
