How can i have child custody after Divorce

26-Jun-2023 (In Child Custody Law)
I am a female Muslim, divorced since 2016. I have a 4 year old son with me. I have not remarried. I fear if my ex husband may claim custody of my son. May I know any Legally enforceable document that can never ever allow him to claim custody of his son in future?

Since the child is at a tender age by default the custody will be given to you, however you need to file a petition for claiming custody of child. The decree so granted by the Hon'ble Court will grant you custody provided you prove it in terms of law that the paramount interest of the childs well being is by staying with the mother. Secondly you have sufficient means to provide for the needs of the child.. atleast basic needs amongst other things.

Don't worry just approach the Family Court with proper documentation.
