Girl child custody rights as per Christian personal laws

I got married in Christianity in 2012 but got separated becoz of abuse ad physical torture. After getting separated i got conceived ad now i have 4 yrs girl child. Frm 4 yrs i took complete care of my child both physically an financially. i want to know about girls child custody laws. Help me i don't want to lose my only hope n my life my child.
Christian law per-se does not have any specific provision for custody and the issues are resolved by Indian Divorce Act, 1869 which applies to all the religion of the country. Under this Act, the court passes interim orders for maintenance of the minor child, as it deem fit, altering the main decree of the suit to ensure proper care and maintenance of the child.
