Loan cleared to my frnd but cheque n promsory note not returned

I have taken a loan of 5,00,000 of cash from my frnd in 2017 in 2019 I have returned 5lakhs in cash with interest, then he said he will send papers in courier to my adress but he have not given to courier and said he lost papers due to their house shifting. Now after 7months again he saying he got papers and demanding 2lakhs or he will put cheque bounce case?
in your situation first you issue a legal notice through an advocate demanding to return cheques and other documents, and also before this first stop the cheques with the bank concerned when it got presented.
