Lawyer asking 10000 each time for appearing in 138 nia case
12-Dec-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
My lawyer is asking 10000 for doc verification,10000 for evidence filing and another 10000 for written arguements.
Is this fees justifiable? For a cheque bounce case of 4lacs.
Also my previous adv has taken 10000 +16000 (Stampduty tax)for filing the 138 NIA case.
Ams:- what is stamp duty in a 138 proceeding. i understand that is your court fees that you have paid..court fees has to be paid by the client only, no advocate generally bears the costs of a court fees.
