How to get cleared a cheque which is dishonored?

I have a cheque which is issued to pay ₹5,00,000 but now he is not paying the amount so how to take legal action against this to get my amount repay?
Hi...you can present the cheque and bounce it. After that you issue him legal notice and demand for the money and give him fifteen days time to reply . After fifteen days within one month you have to file case in jurisdictional court.
