Can the cheque holder sue if the bank account is closed

Bank account was not active and I issue a cheque to someone but before it get active I cancelled the process of opening bank account ....is that cheque when sent to the bank it will bounce and cheque holder can sue me.?

Dear client,
Yes activity/process that u have done come under cheque bounce case.Section 138NI Act clearly state that if a person issued a cheque in discharge of his/her liability if that cheque bounce than in that case person is punishable under section 138 NI act .Court presume that u issued the cheque in discharged of ur legal liability.Court will also ask u why u issued the cheque if u knows that ur account is inactive.Dear client for more clarification u can contact me and I m happy to help u.
