Now a cheque is valid for three months and there is no restriction for you to present the same for encashment within that time. You can definitely re-present the cheque again if the said period of three months has not elapsed.

You can represent the same cheque with the Bank. Take care to ensure that you ate not presenting the cheque on a date beyond three months from the date of the cheque. After 3 months the cheque lapses .

Yes, a bounced cheque can be deposited again. When a cheque is initially presented to a bank, and it bounces due to insufficient funds or other reasons, it can be re-deposited.
Procedure for Re-Depositing a Bounced Cheque:
  1. Collect the Bounced Cheque: If your cheque bounces, you should collect the bounced cheque from the bank. This is essential for re-depositing.
  2. Ensure Validity: Ensure that the cheque is still within its validity period, which is typically three months from the date of issue.
  3. Endorsement: If required, endorse the back of the cheque with your signature.
  4. Re-Deposit: You can present the bounced cheque again at your bank for deposit, even if it was dishonored on the first occasion. There is no restriction on re-depositing the cheque.
  5. Notification: It's a good practice to inform the issuer of the cheque about your intent to re-deposit it.
  6. Monitor the Account: Keep track of your account to ensure that the cheque clears upon re-deposit.
In summary, a bounced cheque can be deposited again as long as it is within its validity period. There are no legal restrictions on re-depositing a previously bounced cheque.
