Accused under section 138. Security cheque bounced and case 138 filled

Contract had misused the security cheque and now case 138 is running. Court is giving shorts dates so I am not able to attend. Also I am living outstation due to job. Every time I have to take leave and visit to court near to my home town. I am facing lots of difficulty with this. Can i submit any application for court dates scheduled so only one day will be fixed in the month. Or can any other person in my blood relation can go as proxy in court.
cheque given as security falls under
138 Ni act, if the debt you already paid and the cheque given as security used then defend the case if you not paid the legllay recoverable debt than batter pay the debt and settle the matter
