Time limitation to repay the missed EMI

Hi , i have taken a loan from Bajaj finance 2 years back and have been paying emi every month. This month due to some problems i could not pay the emi on time. i even requested customer care to give me time till 20th to make the payment. but still the recovery agents kept calling and harrassing me. what is the minimum duration a borrower can take to repay the missed EMI?
1. Recovery agents does not have any right to harass you for non-payment towards loan. If they continue to do so then you may file police complaint against them.
2. If you need more time to repay the EMI then communicate with them through legal notice.
