Remedy in case cheque clearance not done on time

I hv deposited same branch cheque issued by local post office on 31/08/17.My account in sbi under Asansol.sir, I am totally helpless.. till now (more than 14days) local cheque is not credited in my account ...no one can help me nither bank nor post office.
My suggession is to give time to bank personal to find out the instruement. You have bank deposited slip with you. So don't worry if your money is not credited to your bank, you can file a case in consumer court.
