Dear Sir Ma'am,
You have to issue demand notice through advocate withing 30 days of cheque return. Then you have to give 15 days for repayment to cheque issuer. If you could get money within 15 days then you have to file case before Court within 30 days.

the query is not clear. mention dates. you have to send a notice after returning the cheque. the notice must be sent within 30 days from the date of dishonor of the cheque or when you got cheque return memo from the bank.

Under Negotiable Instrument Act, you require to send notice to the other party i.e. the drawer of the cheque demanding the claim amount with specific reference of the provisions of the Act in the notice. It is advisable you take assistance of lawyer as there are stage wise time limits failing which you will not be able to claim under this particular act.

Your question is unclear with insufficient information. Usually when check is dishonoured by bank (layman colloquial: bounce) the payee shall send a notice to the payer / issuer of cheque within a month. The notice shall mention the underlying transaction for which the cheque was issued, details of cheque and details of dishonour etc. Upon expiry of period one may proceed to file complaint under Section 138 of N.I. Act.
