Money given for business person not returning what to do
05-May-2023 (In Banking / Finance Law)
I am asking this question on behalf of a person who works as a driver is unable to afford a lawyer. I borrowed ₹75k in 2012 to make the downpayment of a taxi vehicle I purchased. The person I borrowed money from took my signature on an agreement which needs to be renewed every two years printed on ₹10 non-judicial stamp paper. This was renewed in 2015 but has expired in 2017. I have 2 questions: 1. Is his claim for recovery of money legally enforceable? 2. How can I contract free legal services to show the documents (written in Tamil) and get advice?
1. Non-judicial stamp paper is valid for maximum 3 years from the date of execution.
2. You can share me the document, I will go through it and provide you a legal solution.
3. You can book consultation slot with lawrato.com.
