How to defend a s138 NI act case filed by bank in loan matter

20-Feb-2023 (In Banking / Finance Law)
Respected Sir, I have received a Notice through Registered Post last week from Axis Bank. The notice states "Form NO 1" "SUMMONS TO AN ACCUSED PERSON", & I have been asked to appear in person in front of Magistrate on 6th of March. I have taken a personal loan from Axis Bank of Rs 157000/- & after paying few EMI's, I was unable to repay the amount due to some unavoidable circumstances. I am currently not in a position to travel. Please guide me how to proceed on this & what should be my next step.
