23-Oct-2023 (In Banking / Finance Law)
Initially i took home loan for the period of 14 yrs in joint name along with my hysband but after 8 months he took seperation out of court by signing MOU mentioned he backed out and stopped the emi cheques now i am paying since then but property is in joint name. I am afraid of him that he can claim the property in future . Suggest me what to do so that he could not claim in future as i am paying since then. Property is in my possession.

Hello Client,
i have seen your query, according to which you are very much concern about a property which you along with your husband have jointly purchased with thye help of home loan for 14 years but due to some unavoidable reasons you both have got separated after 8 month of purchasing the said property and after MOU IN COURTY ONLY you are paying the EMI AND YOU ARE OF THE VIEW that you husband can claim the property due to jointly named,in this condition you have to immidiately contact the lawyer so you can save your property

Does the MOU mention that teh property will belong to you instead of joint ownership? Do you have a decree from the court based on the MOU? If so, you may approach the builder for modification of the booking.
