Bankrupt not able to pay credit cards due what to do

Last year i was jobless for more than 1year still not in right job I was having some dues of credit card which i failed to pay due to i became bankrupt now the bank official are calling all my friends and relatives and harressing mentally by saying they were my guarantor and they will also get legal notice for my non payment . Is it possible? And do i have any law for myself?

I have read your question as per which you have to pay a dept of banks which you have spended on your credit cards due to which your friends and relatives are getting calls.in this mattet u have got 2 to 3 options in which you can save your self from all these problems but for that you need an advocate.then only it will be possible. To get rid of all this.but advocate will charge you that you have to see that.

First you have to be very clear that if you have used a credit card, it is your duty to re pay it. If you are not able to re pay it, there is a provision for converting it into EMI's to save interest cost. In so far as Guarantors' are concerned there should be valid document with the bank in which the Personal Guarantee of your relatives/friends etc is given. Else the bank or credit card company should not disturb them. I would advise you to first convert it into EMI so as to save future interest cost
