Hello !I am Indian citizen and my ex-husband is NRI (residing in Dubai, UAE) from 2 decades. Both of us are Hindus. However we were married in India and the same was registered in India in 2019. We have a marriage certificate as well.In 2020, we got divorced by mutual consent in Dubai, UAE. We have also received the decree for the same. KIndly let me know if the same is valid in India, or should I file afresh application for divorce in India ? Also how do I cancel my marriage certificate and re-marry basis this.Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi,There is no necessity to apply for divorce once again in India but some time Marriage Register are not accept the Divorce order of other countries and they insist order copy of Indian Court to cancel the Marriage certificate issued by them.
