In such situations, you may address a letter to the bank seeking an extension for repayment of the debt, clearly explaining your genuine difficulties and bona fides as to why you are unable to adhere to the prescribed timeline.Typically, the recovery process involves continuous follow-up calls from recovery agents, issuance of legal recovery notices, initiation of arbitration proceedings, and, in certain cases, filing of a complaint under Section 25. It is also always advisable to respond to all notices issued by the bank or its legal representatives to place your position on record and avoid any adverse inference.

Q: Death threats 7 years ago by my relatives

I was in relationship 7 yrs ago and got death threats from my maternal uncles. Im handicapped. The girl is married now and im not. I had filed a complaint to NCW, DM of Nasik and Presidential secretariate. Every time police called us the girl lied and said case is false. Police did not take statement from any 8 accused. Can i still file a FIR in this case? I dont hv much money either.

If you have already filed a complaint and no action has been taken, you should address a detailed representation to the Commissioner of Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, setting out all facts and issues from the inception till date, including reference to your earlier complaint lodged with the concerned police station/Inspector. In the event no action is taken even thereafter, you may proceed to file a private complaint before the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class.
