In case of unregistered Will is succession certificate required.

20-Dec-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)

My father In law expired leaving a unregistered will wherein he has bequeathed on floor each to my brotherin law, my sister in law and my wife and some immovable propert share in commercial complex to my brothet in law. Do we require a succession certificate? If yes, how it is to be done? What would be court fee for issuing succession certificate and how much time the court will take to issue it.

If you an unregistred Will, then you do not require sucession certificate but you require a probate. However that also depends on the state in which you reside. Since your query is silent on the state, so we are unable to provide you the exact solution
