How to go about changing caste on certificate

My mother is from west Bengal and is sc and my father from jharkhand is an obc.I have sc certificate from west Bengal .can I use my sc certificate for educational purosose such as MBA or government jobs or I will have to use my obc certificate?
as your mother after her marriage also falls under the OBC category and you being the child will have the caste of your father and not mother. You will have to opt for OBC category in filling it for all your educational purpose as well as jobs.

As per the law of India, caste of family will be considered on the basis of male person. In your case after the marriage it might be presumed that caste of the father will be considered your caste because your father is the guardian and your mother are living in the family of your father. In such a case it will better for you to use Inc caste.
