Can the plaintiff be recognized as legal heir of deceased

plaintiff claims to be adopted son of D1 filed a suit for partition. D1 denied adoption and claims that all properties are his self acquistions. D1 died after the arguments were concluded & when the matter is posted for reply by plaintiff executing a will. can the plaintiff be recognised as LR of deceased D1 when D1 denies the adoption and when the same question is pending in the suit.

Since the case is pending in the court and the point of adoption is pending to be decided, the person calim to be the adopted child is required to present those documents in the court pertaining to that adoption.
