Can grandson claim grandparents property

Is grand son has a right on grand parent's property when the couple is living separately since 8 years ( divorce case in court since 8 yrs) and the son is living with mother with no contact with father or grand parents. Son is a major and 20 yrs old. Father has not supported the child financially since the separation. Please advise what can be done for right on property. Father has no property on his own name everything belongs to grandparents on papers but is being used by father only. Though legally father has been deserted by grandparents on papers but he is living in same house. We are hin
You cannot claim share in the property if property is a self acquired property of your grandfather. Your grandfather has the right over the property and can dispose the property in the manner he wishes to. In case of death of your grandfather, the property will be divided equally between class 1 legal heirs. You can claim share in the property received as a share by your father after the death of your father.
