Can an employee in a Trust be accountable after being terminated

I am an employee in a Trust since Dec 2004, for the past 12 years aged 63. There is ownership tussle within the two family trustees for the past 20 years and cases filed on one another. On instructions of Chief Trustee group, I became the Complainant on behalf of the Organisation. under a special power of Attorney for filing criminal / civil cases against one group of Trustees for misappropriation of funds, which took place before my joining the Trust. I was also made the witness in these cases. Cases are on for the past five years and now in precharging stage. Recently the accused trustee has terminated my employment. The other group has negated this. In this context, kindly appraise legal position - As I am only an employee and acted as per instructions of my immediate superior boss i.e Chief Trustee, am I in any way personally liable or accountable. - Crossed retirement age, can I leave the organization. Even after that do i appear. - What course of remedies for me,
