If a relative has to gift a flat what amount of tax do I have to pay

My brother in law wants to gift me a flat which was bought in 2014. Can he does registration without money transaction?

Would request you to kindly share some more details. There are two charges at the time of transfer that is registration charges and stamp duties.

No he can not does registration without money transaction . due to the strictness of this time you should understand you can not do it without transaction. If he wants to gift you flat he have to gift you with registration. He has to make gift deed and it would be registered.

YES, U CAN.THIS ACT DONE BY THE WAY OF MAKING A GIFT DEED. IT CAN BE GET REGISTERED WITHOUT MONEY TRANSACTION. BUT THE MAIN LEGAL POINT IS THIS ,THAT ABOVE MENTION PROPERTY IS OWNED ONLY IN THE NAME OF YOUR BROTHER IN LAW.
