The recent Supreme Court judgement on daughter's share in ancestral property is this judgement applicable in west Bengal or not ?
The law is applicable to the school of succession and not to the area. In West Bengal it is applicable provided the person is governed by Mistakshara school of Succession and not by Dayabhaga school of law which is widely prevalent in West Bengal and Assam region.
