One can't save the personal information of someone unless that person has given his or her assent for the same. So you need to make a complete profile sketch and the document upload process to insure that the user himself or herself is uploading her official credentials proof to validate those information which has been filed up on your upcoming website. You are further required to sign a contract in against the same and has to openly explain all the procedure related to your website by way of written and video manual.

Yes aadhar in a digital form can be asked and used as a verification purpose document only if the same is digitally signed or in a way self attested to make it authentic and deemingly legal for any purpose whatsoever

Hi we have consulted startrishta in similar matter, we can help, the subject matter is you are referring is wide also to be understand that aadhar is like ID card and meant for govt schemes and benefits, the whole idea of adhar to eliminate duplicacy and control corruption and no private body can enforce any user to link aadhar. Also aadhar carry SDPI data and if you don't adopt high security practice you are inviting trouble for yourself.

Yes you may ask for Aadhar card for registeration on your site but I suggest you not make it mandatory because of the Right to Privacy of the citizens. You can ask for aadhar no./voter id/PAN No. to verify the user.

For identity verification process you can ask users to submit their aadhaar. Submission of aadhaar by the users can be through a digital copy as well. There is no restriction in saving the aadhaar copy or for that matter any identification documents collected by you for future references. However, you must formulate a detailed privacy policy for which mentions your collection of the identification information including aadhaar, use of the collected information, protection of the collected information among others.
