Legalities to open a portal for govt job listings and applications

27-Feb-2023 (In Startup Law)

Hi, I own an internet cafe in Ulhasnagar of Mumbai which is licensed under The shop act. I want to start a web portal for government job listings and applications. The user will register himself on the site by paying a yearly subscription charge and we will help him track and fill the form for the available jobs. I wanted to know what all licences and permissions and legalities would i require to start such an online service.

You should register the name of the company as a trademark if you are going to be using the same in respect of your good and services and promote the same. However if you are not going to use the company name in respect of your goods and services and only as a corporate name, then you should register the name of the products. A trademark is a mark which identifies the products or services of a particular source and differentiates the said goods from those of others.
