What to do if friend is not returning money

I give money to my friend without written he was saying to return in one month but he deny to return money at time what should I do
If you have any proof of transfer of money that you made or your friend made then you can keep those papers as evidence and file for a recovery suit in the court once you have sent him a legal notice and a reasonable amount of time to pay the pending amount.

If u have payment receipt or any messages showing payment request and payment or promise to repay..you can file a suit for recovery.
You can send him a mail saying you had made payment to him upon request and that he is not returning it. Let us see what he replies. Its a weak case though with proof of payment
