Unable to pay phone EMI how can I save myself

Sir/mam I have purchased a phone for 25000 I have paid almost 20thousand I believe Remaining around 5000 Rs. I was not able to pay three Emi since I don't have job till today. now I have got a legal notice stating tat I have to pay 7200 with further interest at rate of 24% per annum from the date of dishonor within a period of 15days from the receipt. Will I face any serious problem.? Can I request them for 2 months time to pay back full amount.?

Since you have received a legal notice, you shall reply to that legal notice without fail. If the case goes to court, you can request the court that since you have made all the EMI payments earlier, you have intention to make the payment and request the court to grant you some time to make the payments.
