Took friendly loan now they are asking huge amount giving life threat

2 years before my dad was not well. We took friendly loan from neighbour now they are charging heavy interest. we took loan of 7 lacs and now they are asking for 22 lacs. We gave our property papers. Now they are threatening us and giving life threats. What action can we take against them?
Is there any written agreement with the other party? if there is no written agreement then you need not to bother.If agreement is there if the property is mentioned as lien then the other clauses of agreemnt is to be looked into.It is difficult to advice precisely unless you share the agreement.
