Took a laptop from a friend and could not return

28-Nov-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Dear sir , I had taken a laptop from an acquaintance ,and I couldn't return , I have the intention to return it back but would need time but it has been quite some time as I was hospitalized so could not return , I fear facing the person in person so I said I would transfer the cost of the laptop which he agreed to , but in the meanwhile can the person trouble me in any way ? I have gone through a financial lean phase so don't want to be under more stress, please guide me .

Hi Querist,
If u can give the lap top that is better, u should not fear facing the person, after all he is your acquaintance. I am telling u to return the lap top bcoz u will not be able to assess the cost of the lap top, he may agree or not. Whatever it is do it on a urgent basis.
Regards,
Pratap

Normally you should not face any problem in returning the laptop. If you do not return the laptop and do not also pay the cost of laptop as agreed upon by your friend, you may face problems. He would be at liberty to file a case against you for recovery along with interest.
