Owner of a ornaments shop and customer not paying dues what to do

I have my own shop of ornaments (silver & gold) where my custkmers are not paying bill. How much time it will take to go by legal procedure of recovering bill payment. I have an written bond affidavite of the customer as he said i will pay the bill amount in 6 months and 6 months was passed also.
The time period will depend on how much is the amount to be recovered..
