Money lost in committee no agreement how can I claim it back
30-Jun-2023 (In Recovery Law)
I deposited a large chunk of money with one of my relatives in form of a 15 month long Committee/Kitty. But even after the agreed tenure of 15 month, the person has rejected my claim to "my money" and the "interest earned on the money". Entire transaction happened without any paper trail/documentation. - Are there any legal provisions under which I can claim the amount? - What should do I do in order to get my money entirely? - Legally speaking, what all things can my relative do to forfeit my claim on my money? (Example: Declare Insolvency etc.)
How did you deposit the money with your relative? Was it a cash transaction or was it done by cheque? Because as you have mentioned that there was no documentation pertaining to the said deposit of money and if you have given him cash, then how will you prove that the money was given to him and for what purpose.
