Harassment by debt recovery agents how can I protect myself

I have lost my job in UAE due to which I have a debt of some credit cards in UAE pending, now i came to India, but here some recovery agents Bilkish Associates are harassing me for payments, what is the legal validity of these threats and how to deal with them? Whats need to be done.
Dear sir, time and again various people have been victim of this illegal system. The Hon'ble Supreme Court in one judgment against ICICI Bank has infact taken cognizance of such incidents and ruled that no such illegal recovery should be allowed. You should file police complaint against such agents.
