Filed complaint with case for recovery of money what can i do

'x' is saying that in 2006 money rs 20000/- has given and given a police complaint in 2016 march, asking rs 85000/- to be paid with compound interest police booked a complaint under 420 case (no promissory note, but having cheque worth rs 12000/-) now summons issued in 2016 june this is my friend problem, please advise him how to proceed further thank you
To recover the amount from your friend, the procedure is that the lender will have to send a legal notice demanding the due amount, if your friend fails to pay the amount within the time mentioned in the legal notice, the lender can initiate recovery suit to recover the amount. Your friend will have to defend this case with support of evidences and proofs.
