Dealer calling off the deal after advance was paid what to do

We were buying a property and advance was paid which was signed on papers. In a months time the deal was called off and forcefully the owner in retaining part of the advance, though the deal was called off by him. Need support on recovering the amount and need to know the steps to be taken

If the transaction is recorded and you can actually prove before the Court that the advance amount was paid to the Owner, to recover it, you should send the concerned party a legal notice asking him to forthwith refund your claim, failing which you'll take legal action

Give a notice to the builder/seller/developer and ask for complete refund along with interest. if it do not refund then file consumer complaint before appropriate consumer disputes/grievance redressal forum/commission as your case may be.
