Who has rights on my father self acquired property

27-May-2023 (In Property Law)
We are a hindu family. My father was a govt. employee and retired now. He made a flat and bought some land with his hard earned money. My father have 3 children, 1 son (me) and 2 daughters (all well settled). Now my questions are 1. Is he free to give his self acquired property to any one of his child or outside family? 2. If my mother fill a divorce against my father, what share she will get? 3. Can anyone ask my father to provide his WILL through sending a legal notice? 4. Can my father gift or register his property on anyone name ?

1. In the given situation, your father can transfer the said property in the favour of anyone he
wishes to.
2. She will have to file a maintenance suit, provided that your mother is unable to maintain
herself.
3. No, in case of self acquired property, no one can force any person to transfer his
rights/interest in favour of any person.
4. Yes, he can do so..
