When can I expect a verdict in the normal partition suit ?
16-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
My father has owned a undivided property of 4Acres in the city among 4 peoples. My father was passed away on 2008, Now I have decided to divide the 4 acre property (one fourth of the share to me & my mother). For that I have filed a partition suit against my uncles (three of them). So when I can expect the verdict for the partition suit and is there any procedure to speed up the case and make it to get the verdict as soon as possible ?
Hello,
You should be able to expect the verdict within a two to three years from the date of filing the partition suit.
You should following the following steps to get an early judgement -
1. Ask your lawyer to never ask for adjournment. Try to be present at the court on all hearings to follow the case proceedings..
2. Ask your lawyer to put pressure of the opposition to prevent them from taking an adjournment
3. You could also file a petition before wth high court for speedy disposal.

Aditya
