It depends on the nature of the property in question.
If the property is ancestral in nature then you will be getting an equal share in the property with the other legal heir i.e, the property will be divided equally among all the legal heirs.
If the property is self acquired property of your father, then he reserves the right to transfer the property to anyone he wishes to.
In case if your father died without any will then, you will have to obtain a legal heir certificate from the tehsildar of your Taluk, and then the property will be divided according to the Hindu Succession Act, 1956.
