What rights do women have in there fathers property

19-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
I want to know about up to what extend a daughter has a right in her father's property after his death when her mother is alive and illiterate. If a married daughter wants her right in the Property even after her mother is not ready to give and then what laws will be applicable

Hello,

The property of a Hindu male dying intestate is distributed among his heirs in accordance with section 8 and 9 of The Hindu Succession Act, 1956. As per these the property of a Hindu dying intestate devolves upon his heirs of Class I who take the property to the exclusion of all other heirs. Suit can be filed by the daughter for claiming her right in the property.
