what is the process to get sub-division patta done for our land

13-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)
Respected sir, My grandfather has 3 sons and 4 daughters, he expired in the year of 2001, he had around 6 acres of agricultural land. Now the land is in the name of 3 sons(one of the son is my father), in Joint patta. we bought 2 acres of land from my fathers elder brother a few years ago, which was his share. now we want a Sub division patta for our land, for 4 acres(my dads share 2 acres and the other 2 acres which we bought from our dad) what is the process and do we have any legal problems in the future from our dads's sisters?.

Tahsildhar is the authority to effect any modification in the patta given with respect to a property.
Your father has to approach the appropriate Tahsildhar with jurisdiction over the property and make an application for modification of patta.
As your grandfather had passed away before 2005, your aunts cannot have any claim over the property.

The Particular request has to be processed by the respective revenue authorities after your father submitting an application for sub-division of patta in his father. Then the Application will be processed after checking the details of the owner who posses it at the time of issuing the patta. Once this been done it will be available in the government record and authority signed copy will be given to your father.
