What is the procedure to get Release deed from sister and what is the cost for Registering the Release deed,
Hello,
To get a Release Deed, at the office of the jurisdictional Sub-Registrar you need to produce the family tree stating she is your sister, you will need to produce the latest Khatha certificate, Tax paid receipts until present year, Identification Proofs of you and your sister. You need to show how you are acquiring the property, for eg: if it is a gift from your father, then that gift deed, if it is ancestral property then mutation of death of your father, etc. It depends on the property.
The stamp duty cost is Rs.1,500 to Rs. 2,000 per Releasee. Other charges might apply, totally about Rs.5,000/- only. Please contact me for more info.
