What is the legal procedure for renovating any joint property

06-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
Is there any legal window to renovate a joint property (house), where two heirs out of ten are opposing, but the rest are agreeing. Is there any way, we don't want to partition the house roughly (0.04) acre, it's too small to distribute among 10 heirs. Though we want to renovate it and keep it as it was. What to do ?

Do you reside therein, for what purpose you want to renovate matters, if for residential or commercial. Whatever, you can take permission applying before corporation/municipality, thereaftr inform local PS and file one 144 application Fr not to disturb the peaceful renovation work by other other co-sharer, and undertakes not to change nature and character.

Hi, your query is not proper. Whether you want to renovate or you want get the property distribute in among 10 heirs? Please clear your question. You can't always renovate/repair/alienation of any immovable property with prior permission of other sharer in that property.
