What is the adopted daughter’s legal position in her mother's property

A house is jointly owned by a Hindu husband and wife, who together built the house. When the wife dies, the husband takes sole legal ownership of the house. The deceased wife has an unmarried (40-year-old) adopted daughter who was adopted prior to her (the deceased wife’s) marriage. What is the adopted daughter’s legal position vis-a-vis the house.
As per the Section 10 of Hindu Suceession Act, the adopted daugther has the right on the mothers property.
