What happens if 1 out of 5 people wants to sell his share in property

12-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
We have an ancestral which is located in Uttarkhand. There are around 5 shares in the property. As per Hindu property law, if one person wants to sell but other 4 people don't want to sell , what happens then ? Do all five have to agree ?

Hi
if the property is an ancestral house, then it is better to transfer the share of the person (who wants to sell) to others for valuable consideration.
since the house cannot be divided into meets and bounds, it is difficult for selling 1 part of the house and the sale price will also not be much. hence it is better to sell the share to other share holders.
or the next step is to auction the house under court orders and each person gets their respective share in form of money.
