What are the women's rights in father's property

24-May-2023 (In Property Law)
Please let me know about the property rights of a woman in WB whose father expired before 9th Sept 2005. I have been told that because Dayabhanga law is followed in WB, they will get equal share of property even if their father expired before 9th Sept 2005. But I am not convinced.

Where the property is a self acquired property of the father then daughter will have no share in the property if the father has passed away before September 2005. But in case of an ancestral property, daughters will also have share in the property and can claim share in the property. The property will be distributed according to the Hindu Succession Act.
