What are the rights of unmarried daughter on ancestral property

11-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
We are 7 siblings, 2 brother and 5 sisters. We've ancestral agricultural land in Rajasthan on all our names being used by our cousins there. They are agreeing for out of court settlement. As per Rajasthan ancestral property law, daughters are not entitled for sharing if father has passed away before 2005. Our father passed away in 1994. I'm one of the sisters , I would like to know whether i'm entitled for a share in the above case. We belong to hindu religion.

As you said that your name is entered in records as khatedar of the agricultural land therefore in that situation you can get benefit of exception of amended provision and claimed your share according to act.

You are wrongly advised. No such a law in Rajasthan or anywhere. You are fully entitle to your share in property of your father. Please contact personally with all your documents.

"As per Rajasthan ancestral property law, daughters are not entitled for sharing if father has passed away before 2005." No such law anywhere in India. (This law is something different. It means that daughters can not file suit for partition before 2005 but they can after 2005)

Our father passed away in 1994. I'm one of the sisters , I would like to know whether i'm entitled for a share in the above case. We belong to hindu religion. = You are entitled.
