What are the rights in grandfather's property

HI. We belong to a hindu family and I do have some queries regarding my grandfathers property. my grandfather died before 90's leaving behind his three son and a daughter.Two of my uncle's left the place long ago but still come to the place(very rare). land tax,records of the land are all given by my father and and my uncle's and aunt dont have any share on it i.e,. they dont look after the land and only my family is staying over the whole land.my uncle's and aunt dont have any boy child,they have girl childs who are married now. Can I somehow demand the property in my fathers name?

1) grandsons have no right in self acquired property of grandfather

2) on grand father demise intestate his property would devolve on grandmother , his sons and daughters

3) during lifetime of his children grandsons have no right on grandfather property

No they are equal heirs in interest as much as your father. Them having less visitations is not a good argument in law. Howoever if you Van show that you have been maintaining the property from your own pocket and that they have knowlingly neglected to pay their share of maintenance then you might stand a chance.
