06-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
We are a group of ten people, planning to purchase an apartment jointly and further lease it. 1. Can we appoint a third person( non contributor) as an ostensible owner of the apartment jointly owned by us? 2. What are the legal documents required to make an ostensible owner? 3. Can the ostensible owner hold the Title but not the Rights and Interest in the property?

Its up to you to decide on whose name the property is to be purchased. You need to make special power of attorney for making any kind of legal document for ostensible owner. It totally depend up on terms of POA.
