A pre-requisite condition required for a property to be Ancestral property is that it should be owned by the great grandfather followed by grandfather, father & present generation all in this linear generation living & enjoying the property.

Assuming that you are Hindu, If the property was an ancestral property, every legal heir will have right on the property and the property will be divided according to Hindu Succession Act.

When the property was sold by your father then the proceeds from the sale will be divided among the legal heirs and your uncle has right of share in proceeds from the sale of the ancestral property.
